Tata Altroz Ready for launch – Full information

Tata Motors is all set to enter the premium hatchback segment with Altroz. The upcoming Tata Altroz was showcased at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show.

The Tata Altroz was also spotted testing in Pune and we have managed to click some close-up images of its exterior. Tata has kept the styling of the India-spec car close to the Geneva Edition Altroz. At the front, you get a smiling grille along with projector headlamps. The fog lamps are large and big.

the Altroz gets a set of attractive alloy wheels. The tata’s impact 2.0 design is quite striking with this rising window line.

The rear of the Altroz will be designed the same way as 89th Geneva Motor Show. The lightings are all LED lamps.

At the Geneva show 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine sourced from Nexon. But Tata is expected to offer the Altroz with a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine (From Tiago) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (from the Nexon). An automatic transmission is also expected to be on offer but doubtful whether it will be launched at an initial phase or provided later-on.

The Altroz is based on Tata’s ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) modular architecture and is expected to spawn other body styles in the years to come. The feature list

  • projector headlamps
  • LED tail lamps

The Altroz is expected to be launched before Diwali 2019 in India. Prices for this car is expected to start from Rs 5.5 lakh and go up to Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom ). When launching at mid-2019 it will directly rival Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and recently launched Toyota Glanza.
